Worksheet generator and teacher resources

Wed 15 Jul 2026

I have added two new pages for teachers, tutors, clubs, and anyone else who wants to use Countdown rounds away from the main site.

The first is a Countdown worksheet generator. It creates printable classroom sheets with letters, numbers, and conundrum rounds, plus a matching answer sheet.

The second is a Countdown Resources for Teachers page. It brings together the bits of the site that are most useful in a lesson or tutoring session, instead of expecting you to know where everything already lives.

Worksheet generator

The worksheet generator lets you build a custom set of rounds and print either the student sheet or the answer sheet.

It currently supports:

  • letters rounds
  • numbers rounds
  • conundrums
  • random or fixed vowel counts for letters rounds
  • random or fixed large-number counts for numbers rounds
  • optional student instructions
  • optional name and date lines
  • a black-and-white mode for plainer printing

The answer sheet includes example solutions for numbers rounds and best words for letters rounds where the solver can find them. Those answers are there to help marking, but they are not intended to be exhaustive: students may find other valid words or different valid numbers solutions.

Teacher resources hub

The teacher resources page links the worksheet generator alongside other useful tools:

It also points to some explanatory and curiosity-driven pages, such as how the solvers work and the posts about the easiest and hardest numbers games and the number of possible conundrums.

Try them

If you want printable rounds, start with the worksheet generator.

If you want a broader classroom-friendly index, start with Countdown Resources for Teachers.
