This Countdown game for kids keeps the familiar letters round but lets an adult reduce the number of letters, so younger players do not have to start with the full nine-tile challenge. Seven letters is the default, and you can move down for early readers or up when the student is ready for a harder round.
It works well as a classroom activity, a tutoring warm-up, or a family word game. The teacher, tutor, or parent can control the difficulty, use the timer when it helps, and check words afterwards.
