Instead of making a forked bracket to hold the rose joint end, I realised I can just weld an M8 threaded sleeve to the chassis at a jaunty angle.
I've also turned down the heads of the M8 button-head bolts for the hub adapters, didn't take a picture, but I can now fully mount the rear wheels onto the rear axle. Will just need to cut keyways once I have the steel.
I have some M10 studs to fit to the engine mounting block, and then should be done with chain tensioning. I have chain coming tomorrow so I may be able to get the drivetrain connected up to a test axle with a wheel on it. Pretty exciting!
Need to get hold of a brake disc carrier and that will pretty much be the rear axle done. Perhaps time to start thinking more about the front axle.
