< 2026-10-29 2026-10-31 >The new sewer pump arrived yesterday and I fitted it today, seems to be working so far, need to keep an eye out to see if it is tripping the alarm.
I have wired both of the motors in now and had both axes moving simultaneously controlled by the plasma-wifi interface.
A few problems with the plasma-wifi interface:
I accidentally crashed Y into the end of the axis and it ripped the belt out of the belt gripper:
Which in a way is fine, nothing actually damaged, but I would rather it stalled the motor and tripped the alarm instead of creating a problem that I have to repair.
Still need to do the power LED and alarm LED, then move on to triggering the torch from FluidNC.
I'm not 100% sure how to do the alarm LED. The HBS507 servo drives have "ALM+" and "ALM-" pins - do these just get shorted together when the alarm is tripped?
Apparently the opposite - they are shorted by default and become disconnected when the alarm is tripped.
