Some work on the case design:

I think probably I would turn the strange-shaped tone bar support piece into just a rectangle with a slot cut through the middle of it, and the only part that needs to follow the curve is the mounting holes for the tone bars.

Just a slot cut through the middle is fine, because the hammer and damper need to be able to contact the middle of the shortest bar, and if they can do that then they can do all of the bars.

It may need the underside relieving a bit to make clearance for the hammer, but no problem.

And before I actually make any wooden parts I need to mock up their locations in cross-section in the CAD model that has the working movements, so that I can make sure they won't interfere.
