There is a small issue in that the chain run from the gearbox to the axle will have to pass through one of the gearbox mounting plates. It is possible that that plate could be flipped around, so that the flat face sits underneath the gearbox instead of off to one side. Failing that it will just need cutting to allow clearance for the chain.
The nuts don't fit inside the recess in the wheel. Do Gemini Karts have any advice on this? I've emailed to ask. Probably the answer is to find/make some narrower M8 nuts.
I have put some DeoxC derusting fluid in a tray and submerged half a wheel in it, will see if it does any good.
The chassis is a bit wider than I really want. I am considering cutting 100mm or so out of the cross-members and rewelding. It will be annoying to do, but potentially less annoying than having a car that is forever too large and too heavy.
